Most customers do not realize that your front load washer often times has a filter that should be cleaned out at least once a year if not every 6 months. If you notice that your clothes are coming out wetter than usual, or you get a slow drain error, or even if you start to notice foul smells coming from washer, you most likely have a filter that is plugged. These are sometimes easy to access, but usually require some disassembly of your washer to get to. Also you will have a lot of water that will need to be drained when you remove filter. I usually charge $85 to clean out the filter and run a diagnostic on your machine. Just give me a call and I can schedule to come and take care of this for you.

Roger, I live in O'fallon Mo and I have a top load Whirlpool washer. It stopped with the tub full of water in the rinse cycle. Make a humming noise when you twist the knob all the way around and back to rinse like it's getting power and wants to go but won't. Going to check the hoses and pump to make sure something isn't clogging it but with it making that humming noise it can't be the lid safety switch can it? Since it's got a connection. Any ideas?
