No matter the make or model of your dryer you should periodically have the dryer and exhaust vents cleaned out. If you notice that your clothes take longer to dry, multiple cycles, or are just still damp when taken out, then you have an airflow issue. The problem is that the moisture cannot get out of the machine because of excessive lint buildup in dryer or exhaust lines. To clear this out you need to disassemble the dryer. Most of my customers are surprised when I open up their machine, at the amount of lint there is. They tell me, “I clean the trap out every load.” This is good but a lot gets past the trap. This can cause long drying times as well as a significant fire hazard. The flexible line on the dryer can be changed easily, but the line going out of the home may need to be cleared as well. If it is less than 15ft I have the tolls to clean it out. If longer distance you would need to have a duct cleaning company do it for you. For this I charge $85 to clean out dryer and vent line.
